Frequently Asked Questions
Are Masks Required?
Yes, as per the city of Calgary bylaw, a face covering of some kind is required to participate in our worship service. If there are medical reasons prohibiting you from using a face covering, please let our greeters know. You will be welcomed to participate in our service, but we ask that you refrain from joining in the singing.
Will Oak Park still have online services each week?
Yes, each week we will have a YouTube service available at 10am. The service will not be live-streamed, but a pre-recorded and abridged version of our Sunday in-person gathering. The sermon will be the same, but there will be minimal music.
Will there be singing at the in-person services?
Yes, we are excited to be able to once again join our voices together in song. As noted above, however, if you are medically unable to wear a mask, we ask that your refrain from singing. The worship team will be set back on the stage and singers will have a plexiglass barrier to adhere to proper regulations.
Will the nursery be available during in-person services?
Our nursery will not be open in the same manner as it has in the past. The door will be unlocked and if a change table or nursing chair is required, we welcome that. However, we ask that it not be used as a place to “hang-out” during service and the in-house live stream will not be activated on the nursery television.
Is KidsPark open?
Yes, like most other aspects, our children’s’ programming is operating in a modified way.
Will there be Youth Group?
Youth Group is meeting at the church on Friday evenings from 7:30-9:30pm.
There will not be any Sunday morning youth class that runs concurrent to the worship service,
however. We are strongly encouraging our youth to volunteer as ushers or in KidsPark on Sunday mornings.
